Our youth in crisis need your skills more that ever. You can make a big impact by joining NYLB as a volunteer and give back to the community, where it’s needed the most.
The vital work of No Youth Left Behind is made possible by people like you who contribute their unique backgrounds, talents and skill levels.
Serve on boards and help with fundraising and marketing programs. Be the face of the NYLB in your community and ensure we are serving your community well.
Assist with volunteer recruitment, placement, record keeping and recognition.
Community Volunteer Leader
Community Volunteer Leaders (CVL) act as a “face of the NYLB” to the community and focus upon recruiting volunteers and managing key local relationships.
Our “Closing The Gap” program consists of High School students providing tutoring services to middle and elementary school students. This service not only benefits the student being tutored, but also enhances the confidence and leadership capability of the high school student providing the tutoring.
All high school students participating in the “Closing The Gap” program will earn his/her desired amount of community service hours and/or elective credits.
As a College Student:
As college students, we are seeking your assistance in making a difference in the lives of young individuals, helping to launch the change that will make this nation a better place to live for generations to come.
Some youth today are plagued with problems such as; dropping out of school, drugs, gangs, homelessness, poor nutrition and serious health issues. With this understanding, we as college students must stand up for our guidance-seeking youth. No Youth Left Behind Foundation of America, a Non-Profit organization (not associated with No Child Left Behind) is calling College Students and the Community at Large to be a part of a National Campaign that is reaching out to young individuals who need a realistic commitment of help.
We are dealing with a national problem. That’s why we are calling on everyone to work together to help bring needed sustained assistance in the lives of our youth. Helping our youth, ensures prosperity for our future leaders of tomorrow.
As a Skill Based Teaching:
We are looking for any age group volunteer from middle age to rared with background experience in the following areas below
Support fundraising and special events.
Thank a Donor
Make calls to thank NYLB financial donors.
Assist the fundraising team as they research, write and execute grants.
Provide presentations about NYLB programs in the community.
Tell the NYLB story to your community.
Assist with administrative tasks.
Help with routine maintenance duties such as stocking supplies and checking inventory at shelters.
Gain hands-on experience in working for a non-profit! Exceptional undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply for summer internships at No Youth Left Behind headquarters in Sacramento, CA
